A UBS analysis noted that in two decades of tracking internet products, its analysts had not seen a consumer application scale that quickly.

What made the adoption so fast was not novelty alone. For the first time, energy, once converted into computation and language, could be spent asking and answering questions. We believe that is an energy arbitrage of a different kind from moving matter or delivering information.
