About
David Ren is Managing Partner and Head of Alternative Credit at Thirdpath, where he leads the firm’s alternative and private credit platform and chairs the Investment Committee overseeing private markets.
Previously, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Credit Hedge Funds at Benefit Street Partners, where he founded and led the Benefit Street Credit Alpha Fund, a market-neutral credit strategy focused on sub-investment grade and distressed opportunities. He previously served as Managing Director at Oak Hill Advisors, investing across Telecom, Media, and Technology credit, and began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch.
David holds a B.S. in Economics from Duke University.
